GETTING STARTED: First take an inventory of your facility and critically decide where each current receptacle is located and how each receptacle is utilized. Please use our Deployment Guide for additional suggested criteria.

Select the force protections desired. All Centerpoint trash can models force protections are rated in pounds of TNT. One pound of TNT weighs one U. S. pound. TNT (Trinitrotoluene) is also called dynamite and was the first commercially available explosive and all other explosive mixtures are rated for energetic force in pounds of TNT. For most common explosives, the weight is very close to the weight in pounds of TNT. Therefore 5 pounds of explosives will weigh about 5 pounds. You can judge the potential threat to your facility by considering the weight that someone could carry and conceal around your facility without arousing suspicion. It is very hard to transport a very heavy load in a bag or pack or briefcase without appearing to be carrying something unusual. Your security team will have an idea of the limits they have set for stopping someone. Centerpoint, for security reasons does not disclose force protections above the minimal level.
